Financed by national and state funds a comprehensive HPC cluster and storage infrastructure is provided to Baden-Württemberg's scientists. bwHPC cluster resources are differentiated by scientific areas and application's requirements and scalability. Users' scientific computing projects are therefore assigned accordingly.
Baden-Württemberg provides the following clusters atTier 3 (aka the bwHPC clusters):
- bwUniCluster, Karlsruhe
- bwForCluster JUSTUS, Ulm
- bwForCluster MLS&WISO, Heidelberg/Mannheim
- bwForCluster NEMO, Freiburg
- bwForCluster BinAC, Tübingen
For users with very high compute resource demands and highly parallelizable applications the following cluster at higher tiers are available:
- ForHLR, Karlsruhe
- Hazel Hen, Stuttgart
The service bwFileStorage provides access to a central data storage of the Large Scale Data Facility (LSDF) for users of Baden-Württemberg's universities and high schools. The LSDF is located at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). If you are interested in more information about this service, please visit the bwHPC Wiki.
